A squirrel crawled into your intake manifold, built a nest, and chewed up all the wires. You're looking at a $2,000 repair bill.

How old is your car and what it it? Possibly if a Ford or modern car you might be looking at a PCM (ECU) Issue. When the PCM is trying to regulate uneven or high revs and there is a problem with the connection between the throttle body and PCM similar faults occur. Possibly there is PCM damage or a fault code (High voltqage low voltage is a code that commonly causes this fault, which itself is caused by jumpstarting) or wiring to the ETB (Electronic Throttle Body) Does the EML come on, does the vehicle seem fine after turning it off then back on again?
