I've heard it is very hard to get an American Express credit card, is it true? I also heard only rich people can get it.

No it's not. Few of my friends have Amex cards. I do not have it because I do not want it.

I'm not rich or well to do and I've had a lot of offers from American Express to use their card. There is a fee to get their card and I'm not interested in it.
