  • as i see it, anyone that will take you. My adivce is to first send a copy to yourself via recorded delivery through the post so it is date marked and addressed. Don't open it, so you have proof it is yours so no matter who sees it, you keep the rights. Then I would send sample chapter and synopsis to every company I could, with a list of potential names. (odds are, they might not like your working title, so a list shows willingness to accept their advice. If you are a first time writer, make sure your book is somewhere between 70,000 words and 95,000 so that it is not too short to be taken seriously or too long to maintain their interest. If it doesn't fit into that margain it is harder to sell because they look at the size before they even contemplate reading before you are a professinal writer. good luck
