At my wedding reception, (at my house) my wife and I were singing a duet of Eric Clapton's acoustic "Layla". My mother was in the next room, and thought the music was too loud. She got up and closed the door between the rooms. Keep in mind that my wife and I are actually good singers, my mother did this specifically to be rude.

This didn't happen to me but to my neigbour. So my neigbour (Lucy) told her mom that she thought her boyfriend was going to ask her to marry him (which he did). Her mom turned around and said; "do you think you could be a good wife?"! She got SO mad!

I hate to say this, but I've almost gotten used to it. At work (I'm in the midst of taking a team-lead position in Starbucks) I am a front end manager at Target, and I have to say "no" sometimes to stay in accordance to policy. There have been times I've had things thrown at me...regardless of how apologetic I've been. We've had to call security on a couple of people as well because of it. This is why I like Starbucks so much better...you can always make people happy with coffee :)

When I was in eighth grade my granddad passed away this kid who I was best friends with met him before. His mother called my house one day to see how we were doing (because we lost touch for a while) my mother explained to her how my granddad had passed away. She seemed all sympathetic and she said she'd drop him off at the viewing at the funeral home. It turns out she never did, she never even called to say anything about it, but afterwards we hardly ever talk anymore, yet see each other, or anything. : (
