I'm in the process now. Not as easy as it looks. Been a few times when I wanted to do nasty things to my practice chanter. :) I'm also finding that getting decent reeds is a huge hassle around here.

A classmate of mine a grand old time, and was one of the best bagpipers of our class. He did it for many years and got very far with his life.
