All three are full of interesting things to do, but each has such a distinctly different flavor that it depends entirely on what the individual likes to do. New York is unparalleled for night life and activities like shows, performance art, etc. But if you are a surfer, you are going to hate living there. LA has the best surf and plenty of night life and music, movies, arts, etc. Great places to run and skate. The water's deceptively cold though. So if swimming is big on your todo list, it might not be the best. Miami is great for beach activities and is also a bustling town. Some have called it New York with sand, there are so many New York and North Eastern snowbirds that migrate there for a winter and never go back. If you love swimming, body surfing, snorkeling, scuba or the like, it's the pick of the litter.
