I have a 1999 GMC Savanah Van. I have no brake lights when my running lights are turned on. Fuse and bulbs are good and the brake lights work when the running lights are off.

    One possible cause is the wrong bulbs in either the taillight or brake like circuits. Too much resistance in one bulb or set of bulbs will cause current flow through a lower-resistance path. Check factory specs for all bulbs and replace with correct-spec bulbs.
