What have you used as a makeshift ice-scraper for your car?

My broom. It did not work and I do not recommend it.

Credit card, it works great

Credit card. It works if the ice is more like frost. If it is thick and really frozen you can break the credit card.

Cooking Spatula. Plastic is best so as not to scratch winshield.

Driver's license. Its not a really big issue if I break that on accident (so long as I find the peices, at any rate).

I once used a CD case to scrap the ice. Well not the whole thing it was broke into two, it was the half that the CD would normally sit in.

I heard of someone that used their license plate... now their windows are all scratched up.

I have used the hard plastic part of my truck key, cd cases, ink pens, my fingers (not recommended) or anything else that is hard plastic or rubber. Needless to say, I now have two or three ice scrapers. :)
