What would you buy if you have the money?

A Playstation 3 or a Nintendo Wii?

I like XBox 360. I prefer the games for this console over others.

PS3 -Id Sell it and buy both the Wii AND Xbox.

I've played on all three, and personally, i'd say that Wii is the best, closley followed by the PS3. I just don't seem to like Xbox's!

I would buy a Playstation 3 if I had the money. But I waited in line and bought a Nintendo Wii on release day, and I am very pleased with it. So if I had to pick one or the other I would take the Wii! :)

The Playstation 3 is too generic of a console. I'm not saying that's a bad thing, but since the Playstation 3 is very similar to the Xbox 360 in terms of gameplay, and since in my opinion the Xbox 360 has an overall better selection of games, the Xbox 360 is a better choice.

I choose the Wii, mainly because of the innovation and potential it has, as well as the games Nintendo has announced will be coming out in the next year, games such as No More Heroes by SUDA 51.

Wii! Less than half the price and so much fun even with the basic games that come with the system itself. Legend of Zelda was an amazing game too. I'm sure the PS3 will have its moments. Metal Gear Solid 4 and Final Fantasy 13 being a few of them (although there are rumors that both might be multi-platform.) The Wii is just a lot more fun in a casual party game kind of way. And a lot of people make their way through my house.

It all depends on how old the users of the gaming consoles are. If you have kids (as young as 4) they will absolutely love the Wii. I also feel that the Wii is especially usefull for getting lazy kids and adults off their butts so that they can burn a little fat. If you are interested in purely a system that is made to blow you away with it's realism and graphics then the PS3 is the way to go. I personally own both and if you have the funds available and can actually be lucky enough to track down a Wii, then I definately recomend purchasing both systems.

The Wii, but I think my daughter and her friends would play it much more than I would.

I know, before it's over, that I will own all of them. But, at the present, I would buy the Wii, simply because of price. I also know many people who own the Wii, and they are extremely happy with them. I don't know anyone who has been unhappy. It it such a difference from the conventional way to play video games.
But, make no mistake, I will own a PS3, when the price drops! And I'm not talking $50 either. It will have to come down more in line with my XBox 360.

I have a Playstion 3 already and I love it. So I would buy a Wii. Both systems are great, it just depends what you want. A Wii is fun to play and you get Nintendo exclusives. Playstation 3 has great graphics and some pretty great games on it already. I think it's kind of impossible to determine which system is better, I think it's all just a preference.

Second best after Wii is Xbox 360, both for graphic processing and game library.

If you look closely at games made for both PS3 and 360, the frame rates are smoother on 360 as it makes better use of its 512 MB of RAM. Most 360 games will play at 1080p, while the same PS3 games, like Devil May Cry 4 and Beowulf, play only at 720p.

The PS3 works well as a Blu-Ray player, but has few games worth purchasing as of yet.

Buy a Wii and a 360 for the most value and fun for your buck.

PS3...with the Wii you can't just sit down and relax to play, you have to stand up and move around, sure that's a lazy thing to say, but that's my opinion of what game systems are for.

The Wii. I don't need another game system in my house though. I personally don't like Playstation or anything els with similar controlers bc they are too complicated. All those buttons and the joy stick. =/ My person usually is all over the place, running into walls, pointed up to the sky. I gave up trying to play that crap. I like the old school nintendo controler. lol Up, down, side to side and jump. Simplicity. I know I shouldnt be like this, I'm only 24 but oh well. I grew up playing outside....not on video games.

playstation 3 hands down cause on some games u can do more like the wii in better graphics

If wii 's graphics rock'd your socks off like xbox360 or better and Everquest could be played on wii online, then pshyya!!! i'd totally go with wii,... but it doesnt.... so playstation 3 i guess... wii is cool but it will be a few years before they get that down to where i'll buy it.

would have to go with the ps3 i hardly use mine for gaming cos there are so many other things you can do with it. never tried a wii, they look fun but i think the novelty of it would wear off pretty soon and the wii isnt cabable of the graphics that can be achieved with a ps3 or xbox 360.

I would say the PS3. I have had a Wii and traded it for the PS3 I have now. The Wii doesn't play any type of movies for what I know and the PS3 comes with a Blu-Ray player. The Blu-Ray players are going for over $200.So you look at the cheapest PS3 out there going for $399. That means you are only paying $200 for a great gaming console. The Wii is $299.

It has way better graphics can play Blu-Ray disks as well as DVDs. It is High Definition...

The Wii is different and is still fun. It can appeal to a wider age range. The very young and the old. However for most gamers - the Playstation 3 will entertain them a lot more.

My kids have an Xbox360 and a Wii. I am unlikely to buy the PS3 now that I have an Xbox360.
The Wii was different enough to make it worthwhile buying in addition to the Xbox360.

So in my humble opinion:-
Playstation 3 > Xbox 360 > Nintendo Wii

But the PS3 is not so much better that I will go out and buy one. The Wii is different enough to warrant having it and one of the other two.

I had enough money to buy any of them and i have played them all before i compared them and PS3 is the best, Think of it, its more expensive soo worth more, Xbox are hell bad unless you have grown up with xbox, and Wii hate it i like exercise but all u do is stand there play with a romote control and if i wanted to do that then PS3. Soo i brought the PS3 Love it

I have a Wii already, so I would get a PS3. Just for the fact of it being blue ray and the game I would get for it would be Oblivion.

I have a playstation 3 and my flatmate has a Wii. I prefer the playstation 3. I guess it depends on what kind of games you like to play. I think there are alot more serious games out for the playstation 3 whereas there are more family, fun games for the wii. A console is only as good as the games available for it, so I'd see what games I want to play before deciding on a console.

The ps3, the wii's fun for a couple days then its like crap because there's only a few good games for it, if your 5 or not an experienced gamer then yeah its fun as hell. Thats just my opinion though. I like the 360 but i hate Microsoft and the 360 has so many flaws and problems.

That is a tough one but out of those options I would go with the WII.

I happen to own all three. I actually really depends on what you want from your system.. I bought the Wii for my kids to enjoy and they really love the thing (so do I for that matter). The graphics are not up to the PS3 or the 360's standards but the gameplay outweighs all of that. Its an extremely fun experience. That being said the game selection right now is really aimed at kids and not the adult population. That's where the 360 and the PS3 come in. They are essentially the same systems right now with the Xbox having the advantage of a wider game selection and the PS3 has the raw power and the Blu Ray edge over the 360. Now that developers have had more time to work with the PS3 over the past year or so you will actually start to see a graphical difference in the 2 machines and more games will be available. Halo 3 and Gears of War are must have games in anyone's library and they are only available for the 360. Metal Gear Solid 4 and Resistance: Fall of Man are also must have game and will only be available on the PS3.. The Wii has Super Mario Galaxy and Super Smash Bros Brawl which are also REALLY good games...Just get them all and be done with it...

I own both, and they both have their advantages. wii is fun for family games and just the interaction of it all. ps3 graphics are unbelievable and digital sound if you have the hardware. plus you cant beat blu-ray movies. if i HAD to pick one it would be the ps3 but i love both. and to all you xbob 360 diehards, see you in a few months when you cant buy hd-dvd's anymore.
