Hard one. I love both. Larry Niven writes both SF and Fantasy. So does E. R. Burroughs.

I greatly prefer Fantasy, although I've read some good Science Fiction also. Mainly it's the setting I prefer: I'm much more at home in medieval settings than those more futuristic. Although in recent years, there's been quite a bit of crossover between the two, so it's getting harder to choose between them.
