My parents expected a "perfect" child and so no. Nothing I did or ever do will be good enough
-
Neither. I am living to please myself and my expectations for my life. Not anyone elses.
-
I don't think I have quite lived up to their expectations but at the smae time I have already surpassed them.
-
Yeah! They wanted me to grow up to be a kind, loving and caring individual, and that (modesty aside) I am.
-
the way i hav been ... honestly... they xpectd 'naught' out of me... but gues im doin MORE than a naught... :D... peace!!!
-
Fail, probably. My brother is the golden child, I think the only reason they hold me in regard at all is because I am the one that has given them grandchildren. I think they had children for the sole purpose that we would provide them with grandchildren.
-
Lived up to them, as my dad always told me I wouldn't amount to anything.
-
Failed, totally, but I had a good time doing it :)
-
We didn't see eye to eye.
-
At different times with different situation I have live up to, exceed or fail to meet my parents expectations.....but sometime sI just have to let it go in one ear and out the other....for they can expect unrealistic things and things I just don't agree with.
-
I would like to think that I exceed my parent’s expectations
-
Not still!
-
Probably exceeded their expectations actually. They did not expect much from me while growing up and seemed to think I could not handle things/life. Why, I'm not sure. We had a good, close relationship while they were both alive but I think I went past what they thought I'd do.
-
Exceeded, I think. My life isn't what they envisioned...it's better because I made my own decisions and followed them through. I know they are both proud of me, and I can't thank them enough for the support they have given me, even when I made decisions they didn't initially agree with.
-
My parents wanted me to be a dentist, true story.
-
I exceeded their expectations!
-
It's been a rocky road, a couple of years ago I was failing miserably .. but at the current moment, I think I'm living up to them and maybe even exceeding them.
-
I tried but wasn't all that sure of what their expectations of me were. They only let me know after I had made a mistake.
-
Exceeded. Im a self made millionaire for about 12 years now who didnt graduate high school. I own a successful business and everyone who thought I would be a failure has had to eat their words.
-
I haven't yet had a chance to show them what I can do but i'm hoping maybe as I grow older I can make them proud.
-
Split decision...My dad was never disappointed in me and I could never please my mom! :)
-
Professionally - lived up to their expectations. Marriage - failed, which hurt them. Compared to my siblings - I exceeded their expectations.
-
In comparission Im the good one. But that aint sayn much. Not yur model prized child.
-
I think pretty much lived up to them so far But I'm mostly living for myself now and doing it my own way to get where I want to
-
EPIC FAIL,i would not what it any other way.
-
I FAILED THEM OUT OF SPITE!!!!!!!
-
no. I could never be the child my parents wanted. I could never live up to their expectations, and it breaks my heart :(
-
Getting there, and getting further away all at once. I'm planning on transfering schools, but it's to a place my mom hates to the point where she wouldn't move anywhere by.
-
They wanted me to be a Marine Biologist. I ended up being a retired Marine. Close enough for Government work;)
-
I failed to meet them. Thankfully I never cared to try.
-
Thats really hard to say, as far as I can tell no one had any expectations of me whatsoever, I can say I haven't lived up to my expetations of myself!
-
Pretty sure I exceeded them, but they never told me what their expectations were.
