My Sony miniDV Handycam can be connected to a PC with either Firewire or USB and it can transfer videos to it.

it is a diffcult task. better is that you transfer your video through firewire. for transferring through usb you have to convert the you video in digital file through window movie maker or other software. then it is possible to transfer through through usb

To get the highest quality video you have to use Firewire when connecting a mini dv camcorder to a computer.
