  • There is none. It's only overly sensitive/religious people that don't believe in it. Don't feel guilty at all for being ProChoice.
  • During the later stages of the pregnancy when the fetus is viable and starts to look and behave like a baby I could make some arguments against it. But, if the abortion simply removes a mass of cells in early pregnancy, it seems like it is similar to menstruation or nocturnal emissions, like removing sperm and an egg, not a baby.
  • From my gut, I think it (abortion) is pretty sad. But that's a point against abortion, not against the legal view that every individual should have a right to make their individual choices about it. I can't think of any likely circumstance in which I'd seek an abortion, but that's the point of the pro-CHOICE thing, not the pro-whatever-I-do-you-should thing.
  • “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.” The Declaration of Independence - The right to Life is an endowment from God, not ours to take away. The matter hinges entirely on the question of just when life begins. There is agreement that it is somewhere from conception to birth, but the debate rages on about where. - The pro choice argument is spurious on two counts once life has begun. 1) The mother MADE her choice when she got in to bed with the father. 2) She is not entitled now to choose to take away her child’s inalienable right to Life. - The rape argument is also spurious, akin to saying that because I was robbed at gunpoint I should be allowed to choose to go rob someone else to get it back. Once life has begun we are still talking about taking away the child’s inalienable right to Life.
