Are you talking about homeschooling yourself? If so, it's not possible. The law in most states that I know of allow parents or guardians to take their kids out of the public school system IF they file the appropriate paperwork with the state. Minors can't do that on their own. Next, homeschooling parents are also obligated to prepare lesson plans and tests that they must have ready for inspection by state and/or local education officials to ensure that the kids are being taught according to state exit testing standards.

well I was home schooled for one year and it was basically me just teaching myself. First you'll have to check your local laws and see what works for you. Now what I did was a home schooling option through a private school and it was a series of books that you read and completed but I’m not to sure what any of your option would be. Good luck and hope it helps :)

Exposure, exposure, exposure. Present opportunities for natural learning, and most of all, participation. Be prepared and willing to launch into activities centered around what's being explored. It's not for the lazy! There are a lot of great books on "unschooling" - a trip to the library would be a great place to start; you can read up on the concepts and the techniques usually employed, and your child can grab whatever looks interesting to him/her, and hopefully interrupt you often with it! Then you're both learning on the job. ;-) Good luck; you'll be amazed at what you both learn!
