    Sin taxes are a popular way for local governments to make money.
    I don't like this practice because people might not purchase as much alcohol due to the higher cost, which means loss of income for businesses and possible job losses.
    Look for a rise in cigarette taxes soon.

    They will be alright as long as the money goes into doing something for the state. The lottery money was primarily supposed to go to education, but very little of it actually does.
