When I try to play a game with a memory card, I get various error messages like it can't find a memory card, the card is corrupt, or there is an improper device plugged into the memory card slot. How do I fix this?

I had this problem once. Sometimes the games don't work with after-market products (like, I have a GameStop memory card). The only way I really found to fix this was to go buy a Nintendo brand card.

Make sure that it's actually a Memory Card and not a Microphone.

If it is in fact a Memory Card, take it out, blow into the slot, and blow into the Card. Gently wipe with a cloth any metal you see on the Card (don't wipe the screws, okay?), the plug it back in.

If that doesn't work, try a different Card.

If that doesn't work, try a different slot.

If that doesn't work, call Nintendo, because I'm all out of advice.
