Physical pain is worse, it actually hurts and can make you stop breathing, resulting in death.

physical pain... my wife has physical pain that even dilaudid can't cure, I have found a flawless cure for emotional pain (though not many people have the willpower to use it) when it comes to emotions, APATHY heals all wounds. not fake apathy where you angerly bark "I don't care" but real apathy where you do not care enought to express that you don't care other than to end a boring conversation about that which you do not care about.
