  • Please see a doctor, I have been through depression and quit multiple jobs over it so I can sympathize with where you are coming from. For the sake of your mental health seek a councilor. I even met with a preacher from a church I have never attended (nor do I go to church) just to reach out to someone. Another idea, if you feel that you can cope but just need someone to talk to - find a friend on AB that you trust. Many of us have gone through depression and want to help when and however we can. Best wishes for you, I am around on AB if you ever need to talk. My email is in my profile.
  • There are low cost and no cost mental health clinics out there that are waiting to help you. Go find one and do what's called an intake appointment. Then keep going back. Good luck!
  • Go see a counselor. Seriously. It'll help.
  • Damm ! You sound like ME ... Seriously ! Except that i have my own home, fortunately .... There is probably a FREE mental health Clinic in your area .... If there is , take advantage of the Out Patient program .... They probably won't CURE you there ; BUT you will get some assistance and they can probably steer you in a new direction where you can at least get a J O B and suppport yourself .... You don't say how old you are or where you are ... so it is kinda hard to to be anymore precise .
  • Deal with it. It gets worse. Change nothing and that will be your path...pretty easy to get there. If instead you wish to be and feel better, then change whatever drives your decisions now. We all are where we are as a direct result of the choices we made. Sure, there are external factors and unknowns...but ultimately you can't control those things anyway. You can control the choices you make. We all chose to be where we are, regardless of weather or not we were aware of what the outcome would be. Don't like where you are? Change your choices. You didn't become down and out overnight. You won't get fixed overnight...regardless of the brain drugs some shrink may shove down your throat since they have it on hand in the free sample case. It takes time...but it's up to you to reprogram your brain. Take the effort to do it and stick with it knowing your payoff will be long term, not immediate or even near future....or just give up and stay miserable. The rest of the world doesn't give a damn which...so it's all up to you. Own your life. Make it as good or as bad as you desire. Life is a total bizzatch...and super easy to suck at...and tough to dig up from...but given guaranteed misery or a chance at happiness there isn't really any choice but to bust your own ass out of the depressed state you're choosing to be in. And yeah...I've been there...all the way to the funny farm. There is no sugar coated answer. Deal with the harsh reality of life and either roll over and let it fuck you up the ass and don't bitch about it, or fight back with whatever you have...maximizing what you can by adjusting how you make choices and learning from the results...and hope it will suck less...or perhaps even be good.
