  • birth control and making good choices.
  • We will teach our children that abstinence is best....that being said, we remember what it is like to be a teenager and will also make sure they know about birth control.
  • A realistic and balanced combination of both...with the hopes that abstinence will prevail!
  • Both...you got to cover all bases. In the end you cant be there all the time & it is better to have a well rounded child than can make a smart choice be it abstinence to protective sex.
  • Abstinence is best, but you are naive if you don't teach them all of the consequences (good and bad) of having sex. No matter what you teach them, they may still choose to have sex, so don't put your head in the sand like it will never happen. "If you are going to choose to have sex, here are the options, including birth control" (and potential consequences) type of thing.
  • Both, teaching only birth control ends up spreading VD, and teaching omly abstinence increases unwanted pregnancies.
  • Both. Nothing wrong with telling your kids to wait, but not telling them about birth control is just plain irresponsible! You betcha!
  • I believe that you need to teach them BOTH Birth Control as wellas Abstinence .... They need to be taught what the RESPONSABILIY of bringing a child into the world means .... Like: Pre and Post Natal care ... EXPENSES ... The Hospital Bill for the mother and Birth/Delivery etc of the Child ... Where would THEY Live ... Who will pay for the vitimans, Baby Clothes , Baby Food, baby furniture etc .. Let then know about getting up in the middle of the night to change dirty smelly diapers and to make bottles and feed the baby .... Get a movie and show them an actual DIFFICULT Child Birth .... Let them know that 18% of ALL condoms will be defective ..break, tear, rip, or have a minute hole in it somewhere .... Advise them of the side effect of the pill ... ALL of that and MORE goes into teaching the kids about SEX ....
