Yes, I went for about 15 years. Guess what? It is someone that you talk to that lets you say how you feel and then lets you tell him why you feel like you do. Then he helps you figure out why. Basically he sits there and just gives you little pushes to help you make all your decisions. He makes none for you. You make then all, he just helps. He helps you to regain the strengths in yourself that you have let slip away. I personally feel that everybody could do with a little mental help. Feel at ease and help yourself. I am also proud of you for going. That takes courage. I don't have to know you to be proud of you. Because I have been there and done that. Hold your head high for caring enough about yourself to get a little help.

I have been in the past. Everyone has a different experience, it is what you make of it. It is your time. There is nothing to be scared of at all. No one judges you, no one steers the conversation, you can talk about what you like. If you are nervous, explain that you are nervous. If you don't know what to talk about or where to start, then you can just ask the counsellor questions about what counselling is all about until you feel more comfortable to talk. You may not even get into anything in your first session unless you want to. That is the great thing about counselling, it is all at your own pace and you don't have to worry about what anyone thinks about what you are saying. Good luck, I will be thinking of you!
