they are dangrous because there are virusis and cokkies and spam wich can record you details and use them to get you bank details and steal money or get infomation you dont want them to have e.g where you live or other pesnal details

Several reasons: 1) It is very easy for people to figure out who you are and where you live 2) It, in my opinion, promotes poor grammar and spelling 3) MySpace has an incredibly ugly design 4) It promotes exclusion and favorites

I've never had a problem with it. Like every other site on the internet, if you're an idiot, you're gonna get stung. If you're stupid enough to give out sensitive information or even store it on your computer with the potential for having it stolen what it is, you're a tard.

People can find out where you live. They will know what you look like by your pictures. Personal Information is given out like your height, age, where you go to school, etc. The best advice I would have is to make your profile private so only your friends can see it. It would be much safer if the people you know would only be looking at your profile.

A-holes are gonna be a-holes regardless. Before internet it was ladies getting robbed for their purses, or houses being broken into, cars being stolen. This is only the latest form. Is no one going to ever buy a house or car, or take a walk because something may happen? You can also find viruses and spam all over the internet- not just myspace. Also, what's with this whole finding your information thing? I can understand about the credit card thing- that's pretty bad, but not every girl is going to get raped by some crazy guy who saw her on myspace. People were getting raped before myspace started, and a guy can just as easily form the same plot from seeing someone in a grocery store and following them home, or a thousand scenarios. Although it is a very unfortunate thing, and I am sorry for those who have experienced it (sincerely, I've been there), I still think it's taken a little overboard.

Depends on what you put in the blog, like your personal details or slating someone in a major way.

Yes they can be dangerous as a large number of people, including many youths have abused the Website. Some people, including quite a few youths, have made the mistake of posting too much personal information about themselves. On Websites like MySpace. In an editorial article published in January 2007 by Betsy Hart, the author of “It Takes a Parent, How the Culture of Pushover Parenting is Hurting Our Kids”, Hart relays several recent news reports of young teens exploits on MySpace. “Some say that it’s OK for girls to go wild, she reports: “Your 14 year old daughter shows up on MySpace in a bikini. Her 13 year old friend is wearing a miniskirt that might make Brittany Spears blush”. She goes on to complain how a number of child psychologists defend such behavior as normal. She quotes a recent news story of two men being arrested on charges that they raped a 14 year old girl that they had pursued through MySpace. Describing the specific methods used by some of these predators, the FBI guide says: “They listen to and empathize with the problems of children. They will be aware of the latest music, hobbies, and interests of children. These individuals attempt to lower children’s inhibitions gradually by slowly introducing sexual context and content into their conversations.”
