  • No! You'll be fine.
  • no need to go to the doc, you just gave yourself a little jolt. Unless it fried you, knocked you back 10 feet, left you unconscious for 10 minutes and you woke up not knowing your name and the fillings in your teeth were smoldering I would say you are gonna be just fine.
  • The only time it is necessary to visit a doctor after an electric shock is if you are burned or lost consciousness. Just feeling a jolt does not indicate there is any cause for concern. Of course, any time you want to call you doctor and ask his advice, you should.
  • In the Navy, and in most industrial environments, anybody who has reported an electrical shock, no matter how small, is taken to the hospital for monitoring and evaluation. This is because even small voltages can cause enough current flow to disrupt the normal rhythm of the heart, if the current path cuts through the chest. In fact, voltages as low as 30 volts can be fatal, depending upon body resistance at the time. To be on the safe side, check with a doctor.
  • no your fine. and to the jerk who said as low as 30 volts can kill ya obviously was kicked out of the navy. its not voltage that kills ya its amperage. tasers and stun guns can give off as much as 50,000 volts and are not deadly unless given straight across the heart. and when nailed with a stun gun or tazer there is no need to be taken to the hospital.
