Yeah, the average car weighs a ton, what's there to be afraid of?

It depends on what I'm driving. If a car is too light, too tall or presents a side that can act as a sail, you can be in trouble. If the shocks are getting really worn it can cause a problem too. I've seen a little bitty car, probably a Civic, get blown clear across a two lane road and almost put in a ditch on a gusty, tornadic day. I've seen semi trucks laid on their sides in a tornadic wind. I've driven a camper over a high bridge on route 1 in Delaware and had the wind catch the side of the camper like a sail and move me across two lanes and nearly into the side of the bridge. Now, in an average car with decent suspension, it can be tiring, but I can handle it. My current car has almost 130,000 on it, and driving it in wind as the front end wears, is getting tiring.

I have many times. It is really tiring when you have a strong side wind and you constantly have to fight to keep the vehicle between the middle line and the ditch.
