  • Slowly losing everything we have worked for over the past 30 years. Too many immigrants entering America for us tax payers to have to support and pay for their kids to be educated. America has gone to hell when it comes to caring for its own people.

  • Thankfully it hasn't had an ill effect on us as yet. Both my husband and I are still in employment, and hope it stays that way, we have managed to pick up a few bargains in 'sales' and liquidation stock, stuff that we needed for our new extension, plus we've been able to take advantage of paying off our new kitchen at 0% interest over 2yrs, so the recession has had more of a positive impact on us.
  • We have been very blessed and haven't been adversely effected yet. In fact, we've taken advantage of the housing market and invested in some more real estate. My daughter and her new husband are attempting to buy their first house. My new small hometown is expecting trouble, though, as their main employer, an industrial plant, is shutting down due to foreign metal and 650 jobs are going to leave the region. They have given the employees a year of severance pay, though, and seem to be hopeful of reopening before that runs out.
  • Yes, and it's going to get worse. We have a business that depends on a solid economy. Once we start servicing customers, we shall see the total damage will cost us.
  • Interest rates are so low, I may as well have my money under the mattress - on the plus side, the mortgage rates are low too!
