  • Children are dumb.
  • because people are scared they might offend a certain religion - they should let children be children and gro up as i did now age 40
  • Because they are only acting like and repeting what they hear at home ....
  • i see it mainly as people who can't identify themselves deciding to act as their racial stereotype.
  • Because kids are mostly immature and like High Shaman said they are reflecting the views of their parents and how they were brought up. These kids don't have the maturity yet to realize how they can hurt people's feelings in a major way and they also lack the life experiences to show them that for the most part we are all the same and there are good and bad people of all races.
  • They are looking for a reason to either hate each other or fight. It is very similar to forming "cliques", which doesn't necessarily have to do with race. Each group tries to find a reason why they think they are better than the other.
  • BACK THAN POEPLE WAS FULL OF RACISM BEFOR ARE TIME AND WHEN THEY HAD KIDS THAT'S WHAT THEIR KIDS GROW UP ON AND THEIR KIDS ON ON ON AND IT'S STILL GOING ON TODAY.JUST BE YOUR SELF AND MAKE FRIENDS FROM WHAT EVER RACE WHEN YOU DO THAT YOU CAN LEAN ABOUT THEIR BACKGROUND.
  • Children allways single out children who are different in schools. With a race there are not only physical differences but sometimes cultural differences. Children make assumptions about different cultures they do not know about and they stereotype rather than adopting a more philosophical view. At school there is always a worry for every child about not fitting in so for that reason children go with the masses and join in with the gang who bully and perhaps think that if they dont they will get bullied themselves. Schools are difficult places for many children and 1 in 5 adults were bullied when they were at school.
  • Because youth are at the stage where they are identifying who they are and those around them. Some have been influenced by their parents, some by their friends or popular culture, but they all want to be known as someone, they are going through puberty and insecurities, they are sandwiched in the awkward stage between childhood and adulthood. Some in order to identify themselves, as a result of their insecurities need to first give others an identity, and it's done in a racist manner. Unsure of who they are, they tag another person as a 'lowly nigger' or 'nazi' or 'white supremist' so to differentiate themselves. Thankfully, my school had, and still has, absolutely no racism. Then again, Australian high school's aren't as large as American ones. But still- the special education students are treated as equals- which they are. The black kids hang out with the white kids, the white with the black.
  • I'm in high school right now and I think that you are right. There are a lot of racism in school. Teens have the need to identify with one member of their race. They want to feel accepted by people. Nobody wants to be the oddball or the odd kid. There's a lot of racism because of stereotypes about other races and ignorance.
