When I moved from ND to NE people told me that I had a ND accent. I clipped my words short. They didn't laugh though. Now, Someone south of the Mason Dixon line (in the South part of the US) may remark on my accent since it is not like theirs. People usually do not make fun of them though.

I have what I think is the mst normal accent. Connecticut accent. But my parents both have Boston accent's, so sometimes I talk like I am from Mass and people make fun of me and I say "SHUT UP" lol

Having moved from the north of England to the south west it was an every day experience. Now that I have moved abroad there is one southerner who still occasionally does it, but without malice, unlike the oo arr carrot crunchers who I used to have to put up with.

People from the south sometimes do. No one else has ever mentioned it.

They did when I first moved to ohio..I took classes, learned to lose the accent..it comes back when I am tired or really mad..LOL :)

Mostly the people that i talk,know actually like my accent when i mix it into spanglish.

There are no accents on AB...just poor grammar and bad spelling.

Because I grew up in the North and now am living in the South sometimes people point out that I have a little bit of one. Of course I notice their accents and don't think I have one at all lol. I have been made fun of for the way I say certain words though.

I live in central Florida and there are no accents here except for one, and I ain't no spick. :-)!!!

What accent? People can't tell where I'm from because I don't have the typical accent from that part of the US.

I'm from the Midwest US and I'm sure people make fun of our "accent". It doesn't bother me one bit. Everyone has an "accent"...it's just a product of where they live.

Yeah people don't usually understand my Scottish accent a whole lot either :( My english cousins are the worst for slagging me though They complain I dont speak the queen's english. Bullshitttt :D
