  • No, I've tried it (after reading for a fact you couldn't), you end up falling asleep...
  • I don't think so much from the pot... but what comes after... eating and eating and more eating... It could cause you to become overwieght and then causing you to slowly die of clogged artories.
  • The only way you could overdose on marijuana is if a truck load of the stuff fell on you.
  • If it is pure marijuana and not the laced stuff they have out there then no, definately not. Research has been done and they couldn't do it, but you can OD on sugar
  • No way. When you've reached your limit, you'll know because the next step will be falling asleep with a Bon-Bon in one hand and a lollipop in the other.
  • NO. There is NO WAY. it's just NOT possible. I did a pro-con on legalizing marijuana last year and in research we found the stats on how much you would have to smoke (or injest) to O.D. YOU WOULD HAVE TO DO 2 METRIC TONS TO OD. it's IMPOSSIBLE. not only could you just NOT intake that much pot TIMEWISE, you would PASS the hell out WAYYYYYY before even making a dent. it's completely impossible.
  • You would even have trouble ODing with concentrated hash. not possible at all.
  • I read that the ingesting a lethal dose of marijuana would require one to simultaneously smoke 20 - one gram joints instantly, and absorb ALL the THC contained in those joints - which is impossible, since normal methods of smoking (joints especially) usually result in somewhere around 10-15% of the THC actually being consumed. The rest is just wasted.
  • Yeah I heard you have to smoke your body weight in marijuana to OD, and that's quite expensive in my books.
  • You can smoke till your sick puking ur guts out, but you couldn't actually die
  • the worse that can happen is you'll smoke your self sober or you'll fall asleep Most expercinced pot smokers know that there is no point to smoke an obscene amount because you can only get so high
  • the only way to overdose is if u were to consume your body weight.
  • You could eat pot cooked into things in a large enough volume to severely mess yourself up... But I don't know if it would bring on the medical equivalent of an O.D.
  • The only way to overdose I could think of would be if what you were smoking on was laced. Even that seems a little far fetched. I have lost my vision before after smoking a little more than any person should. But I do not think that is a common thing and it came back in less than five min... never happened again! Just remember "man who stands on toilet is high on pot"!
  • I think you'd be out before you could have an overdose of the stuff. It's pretty much impossible.
  • Never happened to me before...
  • I don't think it isn't possible either, because once your body reaches a certain point you pass out, but I'm not gonna feed you all this research bullshit like alot of people have.
  • No There has never been a reported overdose, and if it was possible chances are it would have happened already. You would have to smoke about 20 grams in one sitting and not loose any side stream smoke, along with that absorbing all the THC. Usually you loose a large portion of the THC while smoking, your body just doesn't absorb it all. You would also have to use 15% THC marijuana which a few hits of will usually make anyone pass out. Would realistically take about 2lbs.
  • lol i looked that up once. you gota smoke 1,500 pounds in 15 minutes to finally overdose and die from it. keep puffin. lol
  • The effects of marijuana share certain properties with all the other psychoactive drugs - stimulants, sedatives, tranquilizers and hallucinogens. Scientists are just now figuring out how marijuana users manipulate dosage and tolerance to manage those effects. Small doses of THC provide stimulation, followed by sedation. Large doses of THC produce a mild hallucinogenic effect, followed by sedation and/or sleep. The effects of mild "hypnogogic" states produced by THC are often undetected, contributing to mood variations from gregariousness to introspection. The effects of marijuana can be sorted into four categories. First, there are modest physical effects, such as a slight change in heart rate or blood pressure and changes in body temperature. Tolerance develops to these effects with familiarity and/or regular use. Tolerance next develops to the depressant effects of marijuana, particularly to its effects on motor coordination. However, tolerance to these effects depends on the quality of the marijuana consumed as well as the frequency of use. THC is one of several cannabinoids in marijuana. While it is the only cannabinoid to produce the psychoactive or stimulative effects, another cannabinoid, named cannabinol (CBN), produces only the depressant effects. CBN is generally present in low-potency marijuana, or very old marijuana in which the THC has decayed; it accounts for the generally undesirable effects of bad pot. While cannabinol gets someone "stoned," THC gets them "high." After a while, tolerance develops to even the stimulative effects of marijuana. Experienced users learn that there is an outer limit to how high they can get. Paradoxically, this limit can only be exceeded by lower consumption. Patients who require marijuana for medical purposes generally discover what dose provides steady maintenance of therapeutic benefits and tolerance to the side effects, both depressant and stimulative.
  • Water is more toxic than THC, hard to believe but true
  • the only way you could OD on marijuana, is if you consume over 50,000 pounds in under 15 minutes
  • no. i smoked over 2 grams in 15-20 mins, i was really fucked. like i could hardly walk back into my house, which is bad because the door was like 20 feet away, haha yeah i crashed on the couch. my head didn't stop buzzing for like the rest of the day, it was amazing!
