Lets put it in perspective. He made a flippant, some would say stupid comment, and apologised immediately. We all say stupid things from time to time, I'd give him the benefit of the doubt, we all make mistakes, and at least he's big enough to apologise.

If you mean the comment about the toddler, I think it was ill-advised and not as funny as it probably sounded in his head; but speaking as somebody who often makes jokes that are in poor taste I'm not going to lynch him over it. He should probably have known better than to say it on here though where there is bound to be someone read it who will find it "disgusting" or similar, but we all make mistakes. He did apologise already.

well i think it was well out of order its not even funny one little bit and any1 who says something like that in jest or not is just plain stupid

I think it was a joke gone wrong, no matter how horrible something someone says is, it still remains that it is just a few words... Truly disgusting behaviour is when someone 'acts' on those words... Sakhalinskii was just making a little joke comment, unfortunately about a rather touchy subject, I think that if you are offended by one line, from one person, which any intelligent person would see as an attempted joke, you have -NO- idea what being offended 'truly' is IMO ;)

Aside from the toddler comment, the whole argument that such people deserve any decent treatment is frankly sick, in my view. I completely agree with staffie on this one. Having said that, I also agree with Auntie Em. I'm not a huge fan of this type of question either.
