Sex for some reason becomes a chore.... They dreamed of the perfect man that you were suposed to become... You sign a piece of paper saying if ever the marriage ends she gets to get everything you have including your soul.

I heard that most men are afraid of commitment but in the old days men were more responsible they married the women they impregnated whether love was there or not or they would want a wife before they went into the military. I think it's equal on the distrust issue there are women who don't trust men either. Marriage is a big step in life and the word forever can be a bit intimating.

marriage is more fluid these days. committment can last a year. devorce is always a possibility. prenuptuals help, but they take the story book out of a marriage. add some bad relationships with women and or friends who have had bad relationships and you get men who are cautious about getting married.

Their mothers. I've tried several times to trust women, but I don't. I don't believe that all women are untrustworthy, but I can't trust any of them after my own experiences. There are just as many women who don't trust men b/c of their own negative experiences from childhood.

A lot of people, both men and women, enter into marriage without thinking about it very deeply. Just loving someone won't make a happy marriage, at least not for long: it also requires things like complementary ideas about money, children, religion, sex, honesty, drugs, politics, and last but not least a sense of humour. It also needs two people who love each other enough to work together. I've seen a few marriages (and have been in one) where the men seem to be basically replacing the relationship they had with their mother but with regular sex. Then they discover that there's work involved, that their partner has needs too, that raising children is an extremely time-consuming and expensive business.Some men find that effort too much.
