  • Well.. it was to me. I had to go to the emergency room one day after i only a plate of chinese food. The doctor told me that most of chinese food have coconut oil and ect that was bad for me. but he forbade me to eat it again. So i think its kinda ok to eat it once in a while.
  • If they use MSG in their food...yes that is bad for you.
  • Real chinese food is rice, seafood and vegetables mainly, what passes as chinese food is somewhat different. I like both real chinese food and "western chinese food". The chinese takeaway food tends to be made with cheap food making it less healthy but it's not that bad and you can eat it without it being bad for you, take boiled rice instead of fried and ask for it with no MSG to reduce the sodium content!
  • Then dont give it up Blackberry!.. you should allow yourself at least one treat a week surely!..Kung pao Chicken!..mmmmmm! thanks!! now youve got my mouth watering, ;)
  • No its not that bad for you...just dont eat too much of it..
  • Chinese food isn't bad for you. For years people warned that pizza, a fast food, was bad. It is one of the better whole meals. Chinese food is good, a good way to watch your weight, and is perhaps the food with the widest variety. Sure, there are bits and pieces that are "bad" for you, but more bits and pieces that are good for you. Don't even bother trying to tell them apart. Just enjoy.
  • Peanut oil is not good for you and high fat. And they do not use olive oil. Chinese food in their country is alot different in the country and americanized. Its not all that good lots of starch in the gravies they use. Yuck.
  • I'm not kidding about this- i once saw an article that said that kung pao had the fat of 5 big macs- it said it was one of the worst things for u on the menu- i would look into the fat content of that dish. the others may not be too bad.
  • NO, ITS ACTUALLY GOOD FOR YOU, THE RICE IS STARCHY LIKE POTATOES, THE SAUCE AND MEATS ARE COOKED WELL.
  • the key is moderation.once or twice a month wont be that bad.
  • Chinese food is pretty good for you...if you know what kind to eat. The Americanized stuff is pretty fatty and full of sodium, but try traditional dim sum if possible. It's the best! go to chinatown in your city if there is one. You'll never eat Manchu Wok again!
  • i'm pretty sure the kind i like (greasy) is bad... but i'm not willing to give up my orange chicken and broccoli beef... no way!
