Don't you think I should be able to sue for emotional distress when someone files a false CPS report against me? I feel totally traumatized.

I know how traumatizing a CPS investigation is. But the law is on the side of the jerks who made the false report. If you can prove that they deliberately made a false report, you can get them criminalized. Most of us can't prove it, so the vast majority get away with it. The unnecessary stress interferes with effective parenting, but the government doesn't care! It's been like this for about 35 years.
