The lead chargers hitting villages known as bezerkers would fight and kill eachother ship boad for the honor of being the first one off the boat to loot a city! 1500s Crusades, Public execution is still being used, wife beatings are common and accecptable and if that isn't enough , look at the medical conditions and bubonic plague. Those were all brutal. 2000 - World is still up a creek w/o a paddle. People flying planes into buildings, (might as well be vikings) people fighting eachother for the right to live a easy life style. We've become so good at killing each other that we could press a button and launch a bit of metal thousands of miles away and kill millions of people in the blink of an eye.
