  • The ones my, ahem (ex) looked at, I think were 97% + effective..So that'd be, 3% or less chance you could get pregnant. Only abstinence is 100 % effective. :)
  • Very little but there is evidence that it will not succeed
  • From what I know; the pill is about 97% effective ; BUT it does have SIDE EFFECTS so you should RESEARCH it before using one ..
  • Not sure , ... but very little ! .
  • ive got 2 boys, both conceived on the pill. her medication cancelled the pill out. beware.
  • I wish I knew the answer to that question myself. I'm on the pill right now, condom broke, i'm suppose to start my period today. I'm freakin' out!!
  • like 1 or 2% chance. my cousin got pregnant and she was on the pill. she didn't even miss a day either.
  • For me I'm pretty sure it'd be ummmm zero.
  • This chart gives a pretty good idea. The statistics sometimes mean that 3% of the women who take it will get pregnant anyway, and the other 97% won't and sometimes it means that any woman who takes it will fail 3% of the time. They are two different things. http://www.fda.gov/Fdac/features/1997/conceptbl.html
  • The pill is not an entirely effective birth contorl, at all. I know tons of people who have had kids and have been on the pill. If you don't take it at the exact time your supposed to it can greatly decrease it's effectiveness.. if your on the pill.. i would recommend to have backup birthcontrol too like a condom. I am on the shot and it's much more reliable and effective at preventing pregnancy but can have stronger side effects.
  • My cousin is in a medical program and in one of his text books it said if you take the pill correctly - every day, same time, the chances are less than 1%. of course it is different with every pill and every woman. my mom missed one day and here i am!
  • less than 1%, my cousin was taking the pill and she never missed a day, and she still got pregnant! but it depends on the brand of pill and the way the woman's body responds to the pill.
  • I became pregnant with my daughter while on the pill. I was on it for 5 yrs before conceiving though. Appareantly, and I did not know this but after time, some women's bodies can build up an immunity to the pill and it becomes less effective over time. Its ok though, my daughter is beautiful and my whole world!
  • what about getting pregnant while you are on the shot
  • Not very high at all. BUT BE CAREFUL!!!! My girlfriend was only using the pill and she fell pregnant as she was sick and the pill did not take effect. Worst part of my life, so don't let the same thing happen to you.
  • If your a LDS wife the odds are high those women are always getting pregnant while on the pill. Thank God my current wife was sterile and too stupid to know it.
