unplug your pc, and try to travel with it. it just might fit your laptop bag...

Probably the way I do. You'll use your computer at home and not carry electronics around everywhere with you.

Once you've owned a laptop, you'll never go back to a desktop! Though, take some advice laptop owners: buy an external USB mouse, keyboard, and hard drive. The mouse and keyboard will save you from carpal tunnel syndrome; and since laptops do take higher than normal abuse, it's more important than ever to take frequent backups of your hard drive onto a second drive.

But you didn't always have one. Did you? And yet you managed to live. It would be difficult for me to believe that your livelihood depends entirely on a laptop.
