How can I help birds during the winter?

Place bird feeders around the outside of your house and keep them full. My friend has 2 and unfortunately the hulls from the seeds are all in the bed of my truck.

Make sure there is always water for them ,that is not frozen over. Supply nuts and seed if you can put them in metal containers because the squirrels will steal them all in anything else. Put them up at a good height because on the ground the cats will attack the birds

In addition to feeders, you can take bread that has grown stale and scatter it around.

Put out bird feeders and bird houses. Keep the bird feeders full and don't bother the birds in their houses. You could also throw around an old bagel or two.
