I like Concrete Solutions;)

I like Concrete Effect, but I would add an "s" on the end of it. An interesting tag line might be.....a solid choice.

"Custom Concrete Counters" Describe what you do. Offer something special as in "Custom". "Custom Counters - Specializing in the latest poured-in-place concrete technology." (Or whatever it is you do.) Because, once you get established you may want to add other counter options to expand your business. You don't want your name to hold you back. "Custom Counters, Cabinets, and Remodeling." OK, maybe not yet. But you might as well get ready to sell the cabinets because the cabinet seller will sure as heck sell them the tops. Find a reliable subcontractor to do parts of the job you are not ready to handle. Try to offer your customers a complete solution with you handling the details. People will pay well for this service. Get a knowledgeable accountant to set up your business structure and bookkeeping system. Invest in business software from the outset. I don't know anything about this software. I just Googled it: http://www.turtleconstruction.com/remodeler_software.html But it looks affordable for a small startup. Do a little research and ask around but don't try to start without project management, estimating, invoicing, and general accounting software. Make sure your accountant approves or does the accounting part. Do not try this without an accountant. Make sure you use written contracts and have them checked out by your own local attorney before you use anything "canned." Don't start anything or order any materials without a signed contract. Make sure you have the necessary business and liability insurance. Pay all your withholding, FICA, Medicare on time. Set up an account with eftps.com. Sound like a lot of work? You bet! That's why so many small business owners retire wealthy! Have fun. Good luck!! (Don't panic if you wind up taking a loss on a few jobs at first. Figure out where you went wrong and move on.)
