  • We had wooden dusters for cleaning the blackboards (don't know if they are still used), which were a block of wood with cloth on one edge to wipe the chalk off, and one of my teachers used to throw them at you sometimes if you misbehaved. A friend and I had also caught a lot of frogs which were kept in the classroom, but over time they all escaped, and were found dead, so sometimes you would get a shrivelled upm frog thrown at you too.
  • I know of a teacher who had a unique deterrent for students being late for his classes. He would make them sign songs for the class. It's hard for high school guys to keep up a level of cool after singing "I'm a Little Teapot" for the class, complete with actions.
  • Well one would throw the board rubber at you and another hit you with a very large ruler.....lol
  • Our class was on the third floor and this one particular teacher would make anyone who disrupted the class run down to the playgrounds and get a pebble and we had to complete the task within 2 mts else detention. It was an impossible task to complete within 2 mts, so her class was never disrupted.
  • One of my teachers in grade school, allowed the girls in the class to pass out small chocolate frosted bars of soap to the boys. Yummmm!
  • I had a priest instructor who threw chalk or erasers with deadly accuracy.
  • Had one that would give you a crack over your knuckles with a wooden ruler:(
  • My shop teacher would have you go get a piece of wood and cut out a paddle. Then use it on your rear. then hang it on the wall!
  • I don't remember ever being in a rowdy class, so the teacher simply was in control from the get-go and we never had a problem. Even when the teacher had to leave the room no one acted up. That was many years ago,and I suspect things are far different today! :)((hugs))
  • threw the board duster at you
  • My maths teacher threw chalk and my history teacher threatened us with the stocks that she kept on top of the cupboards
