Help answer this question below.

How do you get the musty smell out of an old letterman's jacket? It cannot be washed because the sleeves are leather, and there are pins and awards on it.

    I agree that the dry cleaners is the best bet, but have you also tried Febreeze yet? I'd try spraying it on the inside of the jacket first, then hanging it to dry inside-out on the line outside or someplace where the wind can blow out some of the musty odor.

    (Unless it's snowing or something where you are - sorry, I live in Florida. :))

    Turn it inside out and hang it outside in the sunlight for as many days as it takes for the odor to dissipate, but bring it inside each night.

    Take it to a dry cleaners. It wont be very expensive and they are the experts.
