  • It's ok to expect things from others, even more so if you have in turn given to others. However you can't always predict or even less dictate how others should respond. I think the problem is expecting too much or demanding, even,
  • I think it's okay to expect certain repetitive behaviors from others (e.g., if you have to get on someone about taking out the trash all the time, you can probably expect that to keep going on), but it's unreasonable to expect someone to do something that they normally wouldn't (or can't) do or to expect random gifts (e.g., expecting someone to take out the trash without the nagging if they never do until you get on them).
  • I find its best not to expect anything from anybody. That way yur never let dwn.
  • I expect to be screwed over by everyone. I've found that notion to be quite reasonable. As I'm seldom disappointed.
  • It is better not to get your hopes up, if you get what you expect then great if not then it will also be OK.
  • I think it's ok but sometimes it's tricky. Everyone sees life and the way it should be lived differently. Which is why you can't always feel dissapointed when someone doesn't do what you expected (unless you specifically asked them to) because they may not see it as a responisibility.
