I thought corduroy was going to be real cool but the rug burn rash you get on your cheeks quickly put that choice to rest. Crushed velvet is now my favorite.

Plastic, slip and slide, woohoo!

I'd go with an upholstery grade cotton print on the walls like maybe a pattern of repeated pairs of staring eyes so the occupant wouldn't have to feel alone. On the ceiling something cheerful and soothing like a fluorescent neon lime voile, perhaps with an inspirational message stencilled like "You're here as long as it takes." On the floor, you can have fun with like a patchwork of pink faux fur and exposed fiberglass insulation - it makes a game out of finding a place to sit. I prefer standard institutional white canvas for my straightjackets. They never seem to go out of style, and the fabric doesn't stain very easily, which is a must.
