To me it is.

I always have to have music going but I do not have a drug addictive personality.

For me YES!!! I am a music freak!!! Silence is golden sometimes but I really love music and I love all kinds. Only I can't really take the rap music. But I would listen to it if someone else really wanted to. I try anything at least once and even twice if I like it! LOL :+) +5

YES!!!!!!!!!! How many people do you know who are addicted to drugs, and how many listen to music every single day???? I'm willing to bet more listen to music. Plus, music is way better than drugs. Music is amazing; drugs are junk.

Realistically....No. No one has ever died from an overdose of music. No one has ever died detoxing from lack of music. There is no epidemic of people killing one another just so they can hear their favorite CD. There are no treatment centers, 12 step programs, suppport groups or government funded or privately funded organizations that help people recover from music addiction. That doesn't mean music can't make you feel better than any drug. It most certainly can. But being addictive. No. And we're lucky its not addictive cause if it were, it would be regulated or illegal like any controled substance.
