I wore a blue coat with the red ribbon AIDS symbol printed on the back and a real red ribbon in the front - when I last went for an awareness campaign for the APAC -Association for Aids Prevention and Cure. As a team member I had to wear it. Is this is the sort of thing you intended to ask about in the question?

A few months ago. A very annoying relative was coming to visit family and when she visits she always likes to be taken out to dinner and while my family doesn't mind that part, it's the entertaining and making conversation and listening to her go on and on and on. So I decided to make it easy on everyone and I volunteered to take her out to dinner. Hence I took one for the team! :)
