  • Yes. I was just on them last week. I hate taking antibiotics almost as much as I hate being sick. They leave me tired with little or no appetite. I was also drowsy and had difficulty concentrating.
  • Yes John, But depends what you are taking. Ones like Zithromax and Levaquin can cause nausea vomiting, cramps and diarrhea. If the side effects get to be too much, call your doctor for something different. GET WELL SOON
  • Please take yougurt to replace the lactobacilli in your intestinal lining which are also killed because of the antibiotics. The lactobacilli are good bacteria those help us in digestion and the absorption of the food from the intestine. The other very helpful remedy to control feeling nauseatic is to eat apples. The pectin in the apples neutralizes the antibiotics effect and helps you in digestion. Drinking water or liquids is also helpful, but sometime the water can dilute the antibiotic's effect if it is for kidney infection.
  • Yes, actually they probaly make me feel worse. I was given a 20 day prescription for ciprofloxin and ended up getting proctitis.

  • yes. antibiotics make most people feel ill...it really is a case of putting a poison in your body to kill another organism before it kills you.... that said...don't stop taking them without consulting with your doctor first..this is how we are creating various strains of 'super drug resistant bugs'.
  • what is proctitis? i'm taking antibiotics right now; and I feel half dead. i've never had so little energy in my life. by the time i leave work every day, i feel like i've run full speed into a brick wall. ugh!
