  • I wondered where you were. Yeah, Little Bit has been having PT and OT for the last four years. The stroke left her weak on her right side. She is walking pretty much normally with just a little dragging of her toes and a bit of a limp at speed but boy did it take a lot of work to get there. She has always been very self motivated and even when she was a tiny, sick baby, she would hide behind the chair in the living room and practice getting up over and over until her little knees would tremble and she just couldn't do it again. No therapist would ever ask her to try that hard. Now we are trying to get that hand working better, since it now has a strong stable platform to work from. Its hard, but it does work. Don't give up.
  • Jim had a torn rotator cuff in his shoulder and a few weeks after surgery he began his long physical therapy adventure. He went several times a week for months and it took over a year to get his range of motion back to 100%! Good luck with your therapy..at the beginning it hurts but it is a good hurt and the results are worth the discomfort! :) ((hugs))
