What do you think about the way President Obama is being glorified and almost worshiped?

Some people are desperate to think someone can come in and solve all their problems. Nearly always they end up getting duped for putting their trust in a phony. I'm not necessarily saying Obama will be a bad president but all this hope is misplaced. I mean when people are dancing and singing over an ordinary human something is wrong. They are not thinking, they have allowed emotion to get the better of reason. Sorry people but he is just another politician.

The same thing I think about the way President Obama is being vilified and treated like the ruination of the country. It's silly. He's in office, get over it.

It is a little scary. I pray that he does good..the country needs it..but I don't get the worship..he just took office..he hasn't really done anything good, bad or otherwise yet. He is just a MAN..it does not matter if he is black, white, asian..If he does good..pat him on the back and vote for him again in 4 years..if he does bad..don't vote for him in 4 years.

A lot of people need a savior, and Obama is probably the easiest of all potential saviors for those people to accept. It's not like I'm surprised by it. In fact, I would expect the same treatment of any leader in a time like this. I was just thinking about that today. Actually, I was thinking about how hard times lead to great deeds. That's what I was thinking, anyway....

I think that he is being set up for a fall. He is human, even if he is "all that" he is going to make mistakes. No matter what the people who are in the "Obama is the Messiah" camp are going to be disappointed because he is NOT the Messiah.

A lot of people are going to be really, really mad and disappointed when they find out that he is a total phoney. Gitmo is a perfect example, but there are lots of others. Putting a tax evader in charge of the IRS is another. WTF??

Well, even though I voted for him, I certainly don't glorify or "amost worship" him. I don't know anyone who feels/acts that way, either. Yes, I know there are some folks who feel that way, but I think they are in the minority. I think a lot of people are relieved to see the last administration end after what this country has been through. Most people, like myself, sincerely believe he's going to do his best to turn things around. We know it won't happen instantly, and he can't do it alone. But most are hopeful and support him and are going to give him a chance. Whether you voted for him or not, he is now the president. Those who still oppose him are going to have to accept and deal with it.

I think its appropriate given the circumstances. It is better than people glorifying and worshipping a movie star. But that is done all the time without question. Here is someone who is worth it and deserves it
