Help answer this question below.
G'day Debsmooth,
Thank you for your question.
It is not normally OK to do your children's homework. While you should help them if necessary, the idea of homework is that they learn how to do the work set for them and to test how much progress the child has made. They won't learn if parents do it all for them nor will you be able to help them in the SAT. Yet we have teachers reporting that some kids have been handing in homework in their parents handwriting.
I have attached sources for your reference.

Some people can't see there chgildren fail and so the think there helping them or There freaking lazy, and won't take the time to teach them so its easier to just do it!!
It is okay to help your child with their homework, but never to do it for them. Homework is to help your child learn. If you do their homework for them, what are they learning from it?

You're reading Is it ever okay to do your children's homework for them and if not then why do people still do it?

Thank you. I have noticed this trend in my daughter's kindergarten class. On longer term take-home projects the parents are clearly doing the work. The teacher sends home a weekly newsletter asking them not to do so and they do it anyway. Frustrating.
