I've been on Soma for quite some time. It's about the only thing that will allow me to get a few hours sleep (occasionally). While I did see an episode of "Montel" some time back, where he had a couple of people on who said they became ADDICTED to Soma, it has never had THAT kind of effect on me.
Take it exactly as prescribed, and only take it if you NEED it, and you should be okay. My mother-in-law was prescibed Soma a couple of months ago, and she says it doesn't do ANYTHING for her, so she quit taking it.
