It should also be something that you are well versed in or have major interests in, because that will shine through in your writing and captivate your readers.

Focus on writing content that is well organized and useful to your website visitors. Don't let concerns with promoting services and products or pleasing the search engines overshadow your ability to give visitors a pleasant and informative experience.

There is an adage that says, "Good Content: If you write it, they will come." Search engines spend countless dollars developing ways to sniff out relevant user-oriented information and they are becoming better and better at it all the time. Read your web page and seriously ask yourself: "Would I be pleased if I followed a link to this page?" If you can answer yes to that, then visitors will likely agree and your traffic will increase.

The specifics will depend upon youtr subject and intended readership. However, some principles apply.

    1. It should be interesting
    2. It should be accurate.
    3. It should address questions that people are asking.
    4. Keep it clear, concise, and readable.
    5. Use good grammer, syntax, punctuation, and style.
    6. Spend a great deal of time organizing and rewriting your first paragraph because that is all some will read and will determine if others will read more.

Just a few suggestions to get you started.
