If you have actual penetration you have lost your virginity whether you love the person or not. It is more meaningful when it is with someone you love. But in the physical sense once you have vaginal sex you are no longer a virgin.

I consider losing your virginity to be having sex for the first time. I think it's totally okay to lose your virginity to someone you feel comfortable with, who doesn't necessarily have to be your boyfriend. Look at it like this: would you rather lose your virginity to someone who is a guy friend who you can have fun with and who makes you feel comfortable, or your boyfriend who's an asshole? I don't think it matters who you lose your virginity to, just someone who makes you feel comfortable. And having sex doesn't have to be serious, it can be spontaneous and fun and passionate.
