  • my brother loves it so much
  • It's great if you like: -lots of homework -being on time a lot -not being able to play a lot But it's worth it.
  • It can be a hassle at times, but I liked it a lot better than highschool.
  • I would say it is a bit of a trade off really, you are actually treated like an adult but at the same time, you are expected to act like an adult. A lot more homework, more pressure and less play time as mentioned in TheAnswerer's response. I would say that I enjoy college more than high school, but I am finishing up my senior year right now, and absolutely can't wait to be done with school.
  • Alright look College is feast and famine at the same time. The bad news first You will be working harder then you ever have in your life. You will feel like you can never get your work done. Your profs will expect far more from you then your teachers did when you where in high school. The good news: For the most part people will treat you more like an adult. If you are living at college you won't have to constantly check in with your parents and the freedom is just awesome. Now with that freedom comes responsibility to get your work done and stuff but if you want to go out to eat at 3 in the morning there is nothing stopping you assuming there is someplace still open. (At Valpo we had a 24 hr steak and shake nearby.) The best news is that not only are you living within a couple miles of THOUSANDS of people your age but also they arn't nearly as likely to form exclusive clicks as they did in high school. Plus colleges put a lot of activies on and stuff to entertain their students, on top of that on campus groups definatly help.
  • It will be as great as you make it. And considering your excitement, it'll probably be real great. :)
  • It's really not that different from high school. It's just larger and you have more freedom. It would be great if it weren't for classes!
  • It's fun and it's hard work. The greatest part is to see yourself gradually accomplishing more and more as time progresses. Just one semester at a time.
  • College was amazing for me. It not only teaches you discipline and life skills, it gave me some of the best friends in the WORLD...Make the most of it, and it's good that you are excited! Just keep your goals in mind, and remember, it isn't ALL about the grades...a very important part, yes, but also remember to live up the social aspect of college...you'll miss it!
  • College is what ever you make it out to be...I Love It...you just need to get to know as many people as you can...try everything you can...and don't let your classes get to you, I live by the saying "you can always retake the class...but you can never retake the party" so do with that as you wish....just have fun I'm sure its going to be great for you
  • I guess I was a lot different from a lot of the people responding. To me, college was a lot different. It was the first time I was able to do exactly what I wanted to do, exactly when I wanted. I met so many different types of people I'd never been around before. I was raised in a military town & it was so strange to go "downtown" and only see people my own age. I "breezed" thru high school with little or no study habits, but it wasn't the same at college (for me). There's no family to go home to. You're responsible for your own food...money management...even getting out of bed to get to your first class. Its a BIG change. Its a great experience. It is NOT the same as high school. There's a lot of money involved. I can be one of the greatest experiences of your life!!! Go and enjoy all the experiences. You will never be sorry. But be mature enough to make the right choices. Good Luck! I'm sure you'll do great.
  • College is great. But be careful. Grades will have large effects on many things, such as programs, internships, ad other grades. yes, professors do look at your grades to see what type of student you are. Realize that it is just a few years of your life and that the better you do, the more partying you can do in the future and with better toys. LOL
